This my blog. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I started writing journal entries towards the end of last year and found it very rewarding. It helps me organise and process my thoughts in a coherent way. Writing a blog might be the next logical step? We’ll have to wait and see.

Let’s talk about the tech that sits behind this blog:

• Hugo powers the blog. I spent a lot of time researching different static-site generators, but ultimately Jeff Geerling’s migration blog post convinced me to try out Hugo. I could have used sveltejs, but this seems easier.
  • I’m going to try out the terminal theme.
• Hosting is on Cloudflare pages. It works well for another my project and I don’t have to think about it.
  • There is a straight-forward guide on the Hugo website.
• Editing markdown documents using Neovim with the kickstart.nvim configuration. My vim-fu has plataued after using vim for over 10 years…
• Writing this on a Macbook Air M2. One of my favourite pieces of tech over the last 5 years.
